Arts & Crafts, Horticultural & Home Produce Show
The arts & crafts, horticultural and home produce competitions are very much the historic feature of the show; it is always fun to see who can bake the best cake or grow the most impressive vegetables or flowers to win one of the many trophies. Entries are welcomed from everyone!

The 2025 entry form is available to download here. Please submit your entries to The Kestor Inn on Monday 4th August between 7pm and 8pm. Garden Produce 1. 5 potatoes any colour 2. 6 pods peas 3. 6 pods runner beans 4. 6 pods French beans 5. 2 beetroots trimmed 6. 3 carrots 7. 3 onions trimmed 8. 6 shallots 9. 2 courgettes 10. Tomatoes 5 fruits shown with calyx 11. A small bowl of mixed salad leaves including herbs and edible flowers 12. Any vegetable not shown in this section, labelled 13. 3 sticks of rhubarb trimmed 14. A plate of fruit any variety 15. 6 hens eggs mixed or single colour from the exhibitor’s hens 16. The most impressive vegetable or fruit Flower Arranging 17. Dartmoor Inspired, an arrangement of flowers and foliage any size, accessories encouraged 18. A display of flowers and grasses in an unusual container, any size 19. A small posy of dried or fresh flowers in a teacup with saucer
Flowers 20. A single bloom – ‘the best from my garden’ 21. One hydrangea flowerhead, any cultivar 22. Dahlias, Decorative - a single bloom. 23. Dahlias, Cactus or Semi Cactus, 3 blooms, one colour or mixed. 24. Dahlias, Miniature Ball or Pompom, 5 blooms, one colour or mixed, not exceeding 10cms in diameter. 25. Dahlias, 3 blooms of any cultivar, one type or mixed for example waterlily or collarette, any colour. 26. Cut Flowers – Annuals or herbaceous perennials including roses, a mixed collection of 5 stems 27. Sweet Peas, 9 stems one or mixed varieties 28. Sweet Peas, 3 stems of a single variety 29.
