The full schedule for 2023 has now been finalised and we are accepting entries. Please use the schedule entry form linked below. Entries must be received by Monday 7th August, either by email, or handed in to the Kestor Inn on Monday 7th August between 7.00 and 9.00pm.

Garden Produce
1. 5 potatoes any colour
2. 6 pods peas
3. 6 pods runner beans
4. 6 pods French beans
5. 2 beetroots trimmed
6. 3 carrots
7. 3 onions trimmed
8. 6 shallots
9. 2 courgettes
10. Tomatoes 5 fruits shown with calyx
11. A mix of 4 home grown culinary herbs in a jar of water
12. Any vegetable not shown in this section, labelled
13. 3 sticks of rhubarb trimmed
14. A plate of fruit any variety
15. 6 hens eggs mixed or single colour from the exhibitor’s hens
16. The most impressive vegetable or fruit
Flower Arranging
17. “Coronation Celebration” – Joint friends or family entries encouraged. An arrangement max size 60x60cm any height to be staged on trestle boards in St Winifred’s Church. Accessories encouraged. Please note that this can be set up in the church from Wednesday 9th August during church opening hours 10am - 4pm
18. A jewel arrangement of brightly coloured garden flowers and foliage around 30x30cm x any height
19. “Perfectly small” – an arrangement not exceeding 12x12x12cms including container

20. A single bloom – “a favourite from my garden”
21. A vase of 3 varieties of flowering shrub, 1 stem of each
22. A sunflower head, any variety, displayed flat on table
23. Dahlias, Decorative- a single bloom
24. Dahlias, Cactus or Semi Cactus, 3 blooms, one colour or mixed
25. Dahlias, Miniature Ball or Pompom, 5 blooms, one colour or mixed, not exceeding10cms in diameter
26. Dahlias, 3 blooms of any cultivar, one type or mixed, any colour
27. Cut Flowers- Annual or herbaceous perennials including roses, a mixed collection of 7 stems
28. Sweet Peas, 9 stems one or mixed varieties
29. Sweet Pea, one stem of any colour to be judged for scent
Children’s Classes
30. (7 & under) A colourful necklace or wristband strung with home made beads in any medium
31. (7 & under) Decorated hardboiled egg, the brighter the better
32. (7 & under) An abstract painting/colouring/collage. Max size A2
33. (12 & under) An A4 poster invitation to an imaginative Manaton event eg Manaton Space Rocket Festival, Manaton Hairiest Feet Pageant!
34. (12 and under) A Dartmoor scene e.g. Bowerman’s Nose or local place of your choice in miniature on a dinner plate using natural materials
35. (All ages 16 and under) A crown fit for a King!

38. A chocolate cake, own recipe, any size
39. A gluten free cake, any recipe, labelled
40. A loaf of homemade bread

The Schedule is available to view and download or print here (or in paper form from the Kestor Inn and the two Manaton bus shelters). Entry forms can be printed here or again picked up from the above.
Intending exhibitors should submit completed entry forms to the Show Committee at the Kestor Inn on Monday 8th August, between 7.00pm and 9.00pm. Postal entries, addressed to the Show & Fair Committee c/o Parish Hall, Manaton TQ13 9UJ, will be accepted up to midday on Wednesday 10th August.
Each exhibitor will be supplied with a ticket for each of his/her exhibit(s) showing their number and the class number. There will be no charge for entries.
